From 2004 the Media Foundation awards a prize for upcoming documentary film makers at the International Leipzig Festival for Documentary and Animated Film.
Now, apart from the Golden and Silvern Dove the "Talent Dove" will be awarded to the best documentary film by an upcoming documentary film maker. The decision is made by a jury. The prize includes 10,000 Euros meant as financial support for a follow-up project of the honored film maker.
